I guess my aunt and granddad had a severe thyroid problem. My aunt thought she had a mood disorder for years and attempted suicide because her thyroid went unchecked and really affected her mood, along with some life events that were very terrible. She's much better with thyroid meds. I kind of hope i have a similar thing.
