Being a larger cat owner and designer I have often made the same argument for correct size cat furniture to no avail.
My advice is to find a local company that custom makes cat trees. They will look nicer and be better made than the crap made in China. And now you know way more than you ever wanted to about cat furniture!!

Thanks! I did figure it had to do with $$$, because, well, doesn't everything??

I am looking in the $200-$250 range. I wish I could spent more, but I am not the one paying for it.

I have found some nice ones in the $500 range, but those don't have the nest box thing at the top that my flame point is in love with, anyway. He's the only cat I have ever had who uses it, but he sleeps in there every day.
