I have noticed a delay in the time it takes to display the "new posts" index page on psychcentral.

It isn't new, I just never felt the need to mention it but it is sometimes difficult to follow discussions here.

It isn't just that it is slow but some replies to threads simply aren't displayed as "new posts".

It is different on another site that also uses bulletin board code and I was wondering if admin could modify the algorithm? Can you change the refresh time or anything?
