I found this article quite offensive. I regularly put on headphones when I'm in public in order to dissuade strangers from trying to approach me. It still doesn't work as well as I would like. I HATE it when men think they have the "right" to interrupt me and demand my attention when I'm busily going about my day (working, shopping, commuting, etc).
