Hello xraychick01: Honesstly... I can't tell you whether or not what you are experiencing rises to such a level that it deserves to be given a mental health diagnosis. This is for a mental health professional to determine. There is a sense in which (at least from my perspective) mental health issues such as depression, anxiety & fear are simply things everyone deals with to one extent or another. They only become diagnosable as mental health conditions when they begin to negatively impact a person's day-to-day life.

I do think it's great you'll be seeing a therapist. That is the best way to begin to figure out what is going on with you. Sometimes it can take a while to find the right therapist for you. So, if the therapist you're going to see does not turn out to be someone you're comfortable with, keep looking for one you do feel comfortable with.
