Well, I'm a man, so I feel justified in poking fun at my own sex, and I respect the other sex, so, I wouldn't want to offend them.

Anyway,, regarding the answer... it requires a visual when you tell the joke. You hold your fingers about 3-6 inches apart and say, "because men keep telling women that this (referring to fingers) is 10 inches."
