Perhaps this would be healthy for you. It's certainly normal to have female friends, at any age. Is something holding you back from seeking female friendships or is it something you don't need or want? It's totally optional, just an idea.

I always felt intimidated by having friendships with females I always feared there *****y gossiping behaviour so I have tended to go the other way when they say hi. I just don't feel comfortable with females and I always feel like they are about to verbally abuse me. Maybe it's the relationship I had that has affected me? I will focus on looking at these feelings and beliefs but only when I feel emotionally ready. I just don't feel ready to deal with the hurt from females in the past...
