Antipsychotic drugs can elevate blood sugar and make people gain weight. Weight gain I think is a proven way to become diabetic. Or at least be prone to it. I am diabetic but I was diagnosed before I took Depakene. This was at least 15 years before Depakene. That is the only BP med I was ever prescribed.
