Metformin did not make me loose weight at all. I am on it now and have been for several years and I have not lost a pound. The only thing I can say that metformin has really done besides helping to control my blood sugar (although its pretty much crapped out now) is to give me severe gastric distress which isn't good to talk about in polite company if you know what I mean. I don't want to say it is TMI.

That's basically why I want to go on insulin. I am sick to death of being in the bathroom. There are times I cant even leave the house because I have to stay close to the bathroom. Tired of taking amodium all the time, If I could convince this stupid dr to put me on something else I would. I am getting a new dr in November and I am going to do my best to convince her to take me off this crap.
