If I remember right, it runs close to $1000/day with meds, etc. I have good insurance, so I used to just pay like 10%, so my out-of-pocket was usually around $1500/admission. Hospital let me pay that out like $50/month. I think they even just wrote some of it off without even sending it to collections since they had gotten the rest of the bill paid in full by insurance. I was never bothered about bills; I guess they were happy they got the vast majority of it paid -- yes, I like that hospital. I haven't gone in a few years.
