i would suggest welders gloves, off the heavy leather 5 finger variety, so that you can handle them without being bittin, scratched or both whilst you do what you have to do, and if you, or they, sorry, bite you, you wont feel it, it wont get threw the glove.

if there "freeroaming" use a heavily padded hooded coat, with a beeniehat on underneath, that seals tight to the body at the bottom, they will cling, hang and bounce but not injure themselfs or you, whilst you clean or feed them
