Sometimes I'm embarrassed because of all the meds I take at such a young age. (I don't know why I'm embarrassed about this. Maybe it's because a nurse at my doctor's office had commented on it once.) Then I'm anxious because of the way people tend to react to BP. I've gotten some weird looks from the pharmacists before, and sometimes they say out loud which medications I'm on! (Not that people in general really know what the meds are for, but still!)

I used to feel strange going to the pharmacy often and/or picking up a large number of meds. Not anymore, though; maybe it's because I've been doing it for years, or maybe I just don't care anymore.

It helps to realize that the people there are just living their own lives, doing their job, and looking to get off work when they're done. I'm sure if they tried to psychoanalyze every person coming in and out it would make their head spin. It also helps to realize that most meds can be used to treat various conditions, and nobody is sitting there with your doctor's notes in front of them.
