Latuda--stepped up the dosage to what should have been a therapeutic level and I couldn't really breathe. Thought the 1st attempt was a fluke so I tried again the next night. No. I lived in a rural area, was home by myself and hated the ER docs at the nearest hospital. So I laid on the sofa and focused on breathing for a few hours--and tried to not freak out.

Abilify--So manic and OCD that I couldn't even sit still. Woke up at 5am to cook elaborate meals, weed the yard by hand, and spot clean the house almost every day. So angry when anyone interrupted or "messed up" my cleaning. Fell asleep by taking ambien at 8 or 9pm because it was dark and I was bored (because I couldn't sit still to write, or paint or watch tv).

Possible trigger:

While manic on this med, I was driving and got caught in a freak ice storm that closed an elevated highway in both directions for over 4 hours. I had almost crashed, but ended up a few spots back from a 10-vehicle pile up that included at least 2 semis. The tow trucks, snow plows, and emergency vehicles kept sliding and crashing as they arrived at the scene. A cop almost got hit by a tow truck as it slid sideways across the road. Being "stuck" for so long...I wanted to get out and walk. It was a rural area so there was nowhere to go. I wanted to just stand at the edge of the icy bridge I was stuck on...I guess to see if anyone noticed. Not moving, not walking, not being able to get out of the situation. It was almost that unbearable.
