No dumb questions. What does an anti-psychotic do (I'm not positive that's what you were asking)? It depends on the individual symptoms but they take away or decrease hallucinations or delusions and for someone like me who is bipolar they help keep my mood level as well; for someone with schizophrenia it reduces other symptoms of that disorder so things like decreasing feeling/appearing flat or emotionless (which the meds can also cause, just to be confusing).
