I have come to use essential oils for physical health too.

As for mental health, I think your kit should include: a citrus, frankincense, lavender, and peppermint. I also like cinnamon.

Depression- citrus, lavender, frankincense, peppermint
Anxiety - lavender (I actually take a rollon around with me and daub it on my wrists when needed)

Oils I find very soothing include Cinnamon, Thieves, and Bergamot
