My mental illness goes back to childhood and was debilitating even then. I would have done anything to have not gone through that.

There was a time of my life I was manic and lived a very exciting and enriching life but I have a hunch a healthy me would have had the same wants and interests. The more rewarding things I did I might have done anyway.

So yes, I would have taken the cure BEFORE it all started.
