I've read newer articles about using NAC which is an amino acid and that it helps with regulating mood and depression.
I"m not so sure about Folic Acid, although there is a prescription form of it called Deplin that is supposed to help antidepressants work better (well, makes the brain work better)...so if you don't need the methylated form of folic acid, perhaps the regular kind would be helpful. Look up dr google and see how these supplements may help.
I take both, plus fish oil, D3 and a high potency multivitamin. in addition to my regular meds.
