If the All Blacks had not been screwed over by the ref against France, I suspect it would have been a different story.

I am not exaggerating, Keith Barnes was actually censured over 2 of the key decisions he made (sending off one of our players and not ruling a French forward pass that lead to a try).

The issue of how he was selected for a quarterfinal has, I believe, been lengthily discussed by the IRB.

At the very least, ABs and RSA would have met in the semi final, and at least it would have been a better game than the farcial dry as dishwater aerial air hockey that was played in the final.

As for whoever deserved to win, the Argentinians were the only players with any sort of heart in the entire QFs and beyond.
