I wonder if we have the same therapist... He did similar stuff to me all the time. And then I ended up in the hospital.. and then he asks if we ended our talks too soon. His problem was that he didn't seem onboard or even knew about BPII or hypomania.

I trust my pdoc 95% of the time, and that's because he'll occasionally talk out of his @ss about BP. So I more or less believe what he says unless something he says sounds suspiciously wrong. Though, he does specialize in the treatment of BP and other mood disorders, so I'm usually very inclined to trust him.

On the other hand, I can't say I trust my therapist very much. I trust him maybe 50% of the time. lol. My biggest problem with him is that he sometimes tries to "normalize" my feelings and behaviors during an episode. For example, I'll go on a $5000 shopping spree because I'm hypo/manic, and he'll say something like, "Yeah, sometimes I go on shopping sprees too. It happens." And since he doesn't always trust what I tell him, I can't really trust him back. Trust goes both ways.
