I had this from a guy I love recently, that he was spiritually inclined (and that I wasn't) and that he hated politics and I love it, I drank and he was a recovered alcoholic. I told him I wouldn't have drank if I was with him, I went to visit him and had no intention of drinking around him, and it was only because I was unhappy I did it, and we do have shared values and interests other than that. I think he is too fussy. That or he thinks I would hurt him, which I would hate to think I would do. Needless to say the point is we had shared values and some similar interests, it is interesting that someone has said shared values are enough. It's sad (for me, sorry to make this post about me). I think I missed out there.
