Tomi,

Your family & all of the people in the So Cal area of the fires are in my prayers. I just heard about all the fires....I've been of the internet since last week & all this happened so suddenly.

The fires in Ca are hard for anyone to understand that haven't lived around them for sure. Even if they aren't in your back yard & threatening your house, the smoke is there causing all kinds of breathing problems.

I pray that you asthma will be ok. I remember the Santa Clarita fire just 3 years ago (the one that was caused by the hawk flying into the power lines). The smoke covered the Antelope Valley where I lived & I (who never had asthma before) ended up with an asthma attack that landed me in the hospital for 10 days.

People here in KY don't understand my fear of fire...when my neighbor was burning a pile of trash right next to the woods on my farm during the draught we are having here made me crazy. We had just had a little rain, so they lifted the "no burn".....I actually called the fire department to check on the fire because I was so nervous.

The intensity of the fires in Ca can't be imagined unless you have lived around other places with similar fires.

You & your family are in my prayers,
Debbie
