Biiv, when this happens with you, try reading over the list of common cognitive distortions. You will find you own a few of them, and as you counter the negative thoughts, it will help you to feel like you can manage life.

I'm sorry you feel like you can't, but you are already doing "this."
Take a break from whatever is causing you so much stress. You might say, Oh I can't skip work/school/whatever, but you can because it might be in your best interest to do so. If you need time to breathe, then breathe. On the other hand, if you would be better by being around ppl, do that.
It does sound like your feelings are ruling you right now, but you can get a grip on them. I t might not be easy, but it's doable. Go to the top of the psychotherapy forum and find the list of 10 common cognitive distortions.
