I am shocked by the number of people I know who take antidepressants and continue to drink alcohol. In fact, everyone I know who takes antidepressants admits to drinking, often daily, even if only a few glasses of wine. The point is, everything I have read about antidepressants says not to drink alcohol with them. So how in the world can we be sure antidepressants are working properly when people are not even abiding by the guidelines?

As a general rule, I would think alcohol would not mix well with any psych medications.

I also know that people take it upon themselves to mess with their medication dosages.

I don't take antidepressants or drink alcohol. I am battling depression with natural methods, which aren't that great, but easily tracked.
