So I did the genotype swab test. Got my results back this week. It's not very explanatory. So I've been looking up each code individually trying to understand...and apparently getting a crash course in advanced BioGenetics as well!

Basically so far, from what I have been able to decipher...
I carry multiple genotype, phenotype, and important synaptic deletions/mutations.

The most problematic is that I have a deletion that makes me in able to produce or metabolize dopamine. 25%of all psych meds are inhibited of this particular genotype..including almost all antidepressants.
Generally then a direct substrate would be the way to go..but the main phenotype that lays on a different genome,that is responsible for the main uptake and absorption of any substance that could override my inability to create and metabolize dopamine is a mutated Ultra rapid Metabolizer...so what does this all mean?
The deleted genotype and enzymes require me to consume much higher than what would be considered safe dosage to be effective, but the mutated UM causes med sensitivity at the lowest possible dose and any even normal/ low dosage has high likely hood to cause serious- deadly plasma toxicity levels....
So yah....basically I'm screwed.
Intrestingly bc of another group of mutated geno/pheno/enzymes (which is most likely the cause of my ADHD..or at least somehow proves I actually have it??) Is the reason that my adhd meds have had an anti depressant effect on me for so long..but bc they do have some metabolization on the deleted path..they are gradually becoming more ineffective...which would be solvable if I were able to tolerate or benefit from ritalin or any of the methylphenidate meds..but they only cause me to feel like a zombie with migraines having a heart attack .....genetic reason thus far unknown.
I'm a hopeless mess.
