the type of dissociation common in BPD can also cause gaps in memory for that period of time which is not the same as in DID where you may have an alter who takes up that time.
they can exist together though, BPD and DID (like in my case) with other variations of dissociation.

I believe thats exactly what I said in my post above, only in different words. (that they are different, giving what my location calls each, and that they can happen together and that here where I am, when this happens its called dual diagnosis (having more than one diagnosis)
