Wow, most of what is considered weird here I've considered normal.

I love squid (calamari). I have enjoyed octupus when eating sushi.

Fog's legs I've enjoyed many times & I've cooked allegator when I found it in the store I was shopping at. I actually cooked it for my Mom for our mother's day dinner. Told my daughter it was chicken...fishiest tasting chicken I ever ate....but it was good.

Living in the country, venison in normal & delicious. I've had elk when I was vacationing in Jackson Hole....elk refuge is right there & they open it up to hunting once a year to thin the herd.

When I took a trip to Alaska, the church had a pot luck for us of everything that was native to Alaska. One of the stew's was made from bear meat.....it was wonderful.

When I was in Rome Italy, I went out to lunch with a local & ordered the escargot (not sure what the Italian name for it is). It wasn't anything like the appetizers they serve in the US. They brought a platter mounded up & overflowing with escargot in their shells & cooked with a tomato sauce. They gave me a pick & the local showed me how to eat them. I ended up going through the mound. Best flavor....but then I learned how they go out into the parks & collect the snails in a paper bag. They process them to clean them out, but it's not like they are grown for eating.

I think the absolute worse thing I have ever had was a drink that this other person in Italy wanted me to try. It was called Compari. I took one sip & almost choked on it. Worst tasting drink I have ever tried.
