Welcome to the forums. It sounds like you have some good advice for yourself. I'm not sure I agree that it sounds like you're "in love," bec. it's generally the "in lust" or "in fascination" or "in fantasy" stage that feels like "love" to me. Then, the deeper engagement of real love can seem like a let-down.

It sure is nice to have a romantic interest in one's life, especially around the holidays. Enjoy the glow. If it becomes something richer and deeper, great. If it doesn't, why ruin a ride that you could have enjoyed? There is nothing wrong with a positive fantasy!

Perhaps you can channel some of the love glow onto your students, by developing extra special presentations for them, thinking up creative new activities and so forth. I honestly believe that people respond very positively when they are in the presence of love and good feelings. It sounds like you have plenty to spare for your beloved as well as the students you love being with.
