It has been suggested to me that MBT---Mentalization-Based Treatment---is a good type of therapy to follow up a successful course of DBT. I ded extremely well with DBT but now I'm struggling and slipping back. I don't know much about MBT but unlike DBT, for which there are a lot of self help guides, MBT seems entirely therapy based and maybe relies on a good (professional) relationship with a therapist who can develop trust for this method.

I think MBT is still relatively rare and I don't know that i'd be able to find a therapist that practices it near me. However it was suggested that I might find a therapist in Manhattan, trying to find some feedback if it might be worth it.

My current therapist isn't DBT based and he isn't doing me any good at all, I'm continuing to see him strictly for the structure until I can find something better. I have applied to another DBT outpatient program for followup care. There is a waiting list and I'm waiting to hear back from them.

I don't think anyone can say i'm not still fighting the urge to give in to this depression with all of my strength.
