Hello Blackstonewell: I'm sorry you are in the midst of such a difficult struggle. Unfortunately, I don't know as I have much of anything to offer in terms of insights or suggestions. Porn is such an insidious addiction... & so difficult to break once one has succumbed to it. I have read quite a few posts similar to yours during the time I have been here on PC. My heart goes out to you...

There is a website I found that offers scientific information with regard to internet porn addiction. Perhaps you're already familiar with it?

About This Site | Your Brain On Porn

I haven't read through it extensively. At least not yet. But it seems to be a good source of information. If you're not already familiar with it, you might take a look. (If you are familiar with it already, or if you do decide to look at it, I'd appreciate having the opportunity to know what your thoughts are with regard to it, either by posting a reply here, or via Personal Message here on PC.) I have provided a link to this website to other PC members who struggle with porn addiction. But I don't know if it is really that useful. It is, however, the only thing of its type I have been able to find.

Beyond that the best thing I can suggest is to try to find a therapist who is experienced in working with individuals who struggle with porn addiction. I personally have struggled all of my life with gender identity issues. And my personal experience with that has been that a therapist who is not knowledgeable with regard to gender identity issues can do more harm than good. I presume it would be the same in the case of porn addiction. I wish you well...
