I was on meds for 13+ years, and am no using amino acids and the mineral lithium orotate to control my bipolar 2. I can't begin to tell you how much better I feel, and how much more effectively my bipolar is controlled because I'm giving my brain what it needs to function.

I disagree. I am on several meds and I still have normal feelings. It is entirely possible that the meds cause some sedation, but you are not a health professional, you are not the OP's doctor, and you have no right to proclaim that medication is entirely at fault. Please stick to your own experience and stop telling others that your experience is the same for all of us.
