Of course it's ok to love others, in fact it's really, in many, maybe even most people's minds, the ultimate goal with regards to others.

The problem lies usually in what we, ourselves interpret as loving someone and what the person receiving said love interprets it as. What is your definition of this love you speak of? What would you do to show it to others? Those are a few questions you should ask yourself.

Love in my definition is being there for someone, accepting them, caring for them, supporting them and being able to forgive them when needed. I can see no reason to think this definition of love could be something wrong.
