A "diagnosis" can be wrong. It might have been a good snapshot of one moment, but you are more complex than can ever be revealed in one moment. Unfortunately, a diagnosis is used to prepare a treatment plan of therapy and / or meds. You can get off to a false start. There is good reason to ask your social worker to step back, with you, and take a fresh look at your situation. I think this is a very healthy approach that shows you are willing to move ahead and care for yourself.
