I guess you can get high on it. But you'll eventually hit tolerance and you'll need more. I was taking Xanax as prescribed and hit tolerance and had interdose withdrawals. Good times. I almost died from tachycardia.... Resting heart rate 160 bpm. Had to wear a heart monitor. Exactly one year later and I'm still tapering off benzos using Valium.
