I'm told it does actually get better (and some of it has done so for me, but there's so much to tackle). Finding a therapist who can work with you more regularly might help, and maybe the availability of other treatment options (perhaps more intensive ones?)...
It took me a long time to find something that works for me, and it took a lot of fighting to convince the "powers that be" (insurance, mh professionals other than my therapist) that I needed other options... it sucks to have to fight for treatment options while you are exhausted from fighting your own head...
