I actually don't care if people hug or not. That is not the most important thing for me. Any way they choose tho show how they feel is OK.
But there is something about modern forums that really bug me, and I'm not saying this to criticize PC because a lot of forums are like that because many people like it. I'm just a backwards minority.
I like clean setups. Like it was in the "past". You had a username. And maybe an avatar. And you made a post. And that was that. It was the info given. The first forum I was on didn't even have avatars.
Different forums have different extra info. That shows up in every post. It can be gender and age. Location. Flag sometimes. Birthday. Join date. Posts posted. Reputation status. Motto. Membership status. Daily updates. Marriage status. Signature. Sometimes diagnosis. And so on. Every forum choose what is important enough to show over and over and over again.
For me.... nothing is that important. For me, post content is what matters. But like I said. I am backwards.
I just wonder what is so important about hugs that I need to know for every time someone posts, how huggy they are. It is a strange world. Or I'm a strange person. Depends on perspective I guess.
