I would keep calling lawyers. My friend was told by several that her case was unwinnable but she kept calling and found one willing to try. Bottom line, if you paid into the system and cannot work, you DO qualify. One of the best things you can do is get the support of your doctor. If your current doctor won't support you, find another one. You can even talk to your primary care physician and enlist their help. Make a list of all the things preventing you from working. Be very detailed so they get an accurate picture of what you are dealing with. You can also write a letter to your local congress person, senetor and other people in positions of power.....explain that you've worked hard since age 16, have paid into the insurance program and unfortunately you need to use the insurance program you paid into. Be as detailed as possible when explaining what keeps you from working....I know some of it might be hard or embarrassing to talk about but it's important to give as much detail as possible. If you are able to get jobs (even though you know you will be fired) take the jobs and show them you are trying. If the records show you cannot work a 40hr week to support yourself, you do qualify. Good luck.
