I never meant that I would like to self administer it. I am just curious why it is so popular.
For many years I gave IV morphine to my patients and knew the pharmacology of the drug but had no first hand experience of how the patients felt. A couple of years ago when I was a patient in the ER my nurse gave me 4 mg of morphine. It was very relaxing but I didn't feel "high".
