I'm sure the infrequent sessions are not a helpful form of therapy for any of the veterans. The frustration of just getting an appointment, my first appointment was 3 mos. after I called. Can they not see that this may be part of the cause of the 22 suicides a day with veterans? I really didn't know it was that bad with getting appointments until I started going there. Then when you get an appointment they ask are your meds working, are you suicidal or want to harm someone else, okay what do you want to talk about? Nothing? Okay, see the front desk for your next appointment. You can see how that cold impersonal contact with them would hinder having a therapeutic relationship, right?
