What I do like is a well placed genuine compliment from a man (not a stranger in the street) "You look lovely" or similar especially when I've made an effort, now I must admit that does put a spring in my step.

My butt and my breasts are great - I would even go on to say that I actually gained something in those departments from weight gain - but without the waist line it all goes to waste. I guess I am different from you in that I liked it specifically when I did not make an effort but instead wore some random clothing, which was the case with me most of the time when I was younger. I have also have not heard comments specifically on a body part or parts, but just general appreciation. I can definitely see, though, how you'd appreciate if a man noticed your having made that effort.
