I no longer have regrets.
I used to be consumed by regret, but slowly, over many years, I worked through them and came to the realization that what happened happened for a reason and taught me something.
Now I just try to be careful about whom I associate with, what my plans are, etc.
Living with regret was very painful. It is so much easier now.
I also find that depression, and especially early awakenings in depression, has regret as one of its symptoms.
