Yeah, it is more serious, but I wasn't talking about a child. I was talking about what if I had cancer and they said nothing? Anyways, I'm never telling that one friend about any personal matters again. Everyone but her offered me sympathy and support.
She is having some health issues and she has a sick mother to deal with. She's OK for now though. She'll probably start driving soon again. She seems kind of reserved and private, so maybe more is going on in her life than she let's on.

Cancer still isn't the same as losing a house. Honestly maybe she thought since you don't ever work and recently voluntarily quit a job, your complain about losing a house aren't very valid.
Personally I work very hard two jobs but at this point can't buy a house. I also have very ill mother and my daughter just widowed and we are all grieving . If someone who doesn't work told me they losing their house, I don't know if I would spend time thinking about it. I'd probably think they need to get a job like the rest of us. Just put things in a perspective what she might be thinking
