Is OCD something you struggled with all your life & were only able to get therapy for 1 1/2 years ago? Or was there something that happened in your life that triggered it to start. Not asking for details just wondering in general.
So glad that your therapy is being successful. Being mindful of your surroundings & your thoughts is critical for all mental struggles.
Yes, thoughts come first as they are what causes us to feel emotion related to the thought......

Emotion: adrenelin kicks in, body goes into flight for safety reaction
Second thought: tiger is in cage no danger
Emotion: adrenelin stops, relax I'm safe but may take time for adrenalin to subside
Body & mind work together in amazing ways not easy to understand
