I'm on SSDI long term. My disability from work is also long-term. Even if I magically became well I would have to go back to college and learn new skills for a job. I can't do my old job because I would need a new security clearance. I'm 51 and I don't know how long I could work for anyone. So I consider myself retired and this is where I'm at.
