I'm looking for advice...

This guy at work is a total asshole and he is super triggering. Normally I would ignore him, EXCEPT he is my mentor. That means I can't ignore him.

The best thing for me to do is ask for a new mentor, but I don't know the most professional way to do it.

If you're wondering why I hate him, it's because he's totally useless and a liar. Every time I ask for help, he's like, "go google it". The problem is, how the hell can I google something if I don't know what to google for...? And besides, he's my mentor; he's supposed to help me with things instead of telling me off. My boss says he's supposed to help teach me how to use different software. I mean, why should I spend 3 days following a tutorial online when he can help teach me in 1 hour?

And of course he told my boss "she doesn't seek help unless she's stuck".., which is a total lie. I always seek help and he literally doesn't help.

I'm not going to say any of that to my boss, but I'm just letting you guys know why I don't like him.

So how do I professionally tell my boss I don't want to work wth this guy anymore?
