If you're wondering why I hate him, it's because he's totally useless and a liar. Every time I ask for help, he's like, "go google it". The problem is, how the hell can I google something if I don't know what to google for...? And besides, he's my mentor; he's supposed to help me with things instead of telling me off. My boss says he's supposed to help teach me how to use different software. I mean, why should I spend 3 days following a tutorial online when he can help teach me in 1 hour?
And of course he told my boss "she doesn't seek help unless she's stuck".., which is a total lie. I always seek help and he literally doesn't help.
I'm not going to say any of that to my boss, but I'm just letting you guys know why I don't like him.
So how do I professionally tell my boss I don't want to work with this guy anymore?

This is a hard one Blue, you could try to be honest and tell your boss that you are not getting the help that you deserve, and any time that you ask for help he tells you to google it. The industry is already too flooded with devs who get work done based on their proficiency with stack overflow. Maybe your boss will understand. You also mentioned you are looking for better work, maybe your next mentor will be better if you can land one of those jobs.
