An ancient concept. We call it Brahman, the ground of all being. We say there is nothing but Brahman, sarvam khalvidam brahma, Sanskrit for "all this is Brahman". We are also Brahman, aham brahmaasmi, "I am Brahman", meaning we are one with each other, the universe and all that exists. No differences in essence, only in appearance.
