The "hugs given" badge is merely a tally of the amount of hugs a member has given on Psych Central.

This leads me to believe that your primary concern here is that the tally is there in the first place, for all to see. I can appreciate that. I don't "hug" people often, so I sometimes wonder if I look unfriendly or unsupportive as a result, but really, it's because I don't hug those I wouldn't actually hug in real life; I take these things a little too literally, sometimes.

I'd like to see a feature to disable the display of the "hugs given" badge as well. Unless there is one and I've missed it all these years. xD
There was never a question, but you get me. You deduced my posts as I thought someone just might. There are no issues just to be clear, if I were to add some more spices on the thoughts of yours, I'd say we need better coder(s).

It's simply a poor design or a wrong idea to put that number there, AS IF everybody understands the same, say a pinch of salt can be rubbed into an open wound or put into a meal to marry with other ingredients, as an enhancer of life. I can dish out virtual hugs as well as rat poisons if I wanted to, yes, my virtual hugs, I can be an angry porcupine, barbed wires electrified, or this thorny vines so bloody...
