I had a dream where I was at work as a high school paraprofessional and it was towards the end of the school day and I was dealing with a disruptive and uncooperative student. We went outside and the student started running off and I had to go after her. Me and a school security guard finally caught the student.

Right at that moment, a 50 foot wave came from behind the high school. It immediately engulfed me, the student and security guard and anyone else outside. When I quickly resurfaced, I immediately turned around to face the school and started to fight against the current back to the school.

Despite my best efforts, I couldn't get back and I watched in horror and sadness as the water completely engulfed the high school, knowing that no one could possibly be alive. Around the same moment I felt myself feeling extremely tired, hopeless, and helpless.

The dream ended with me seeing the high school being completely submerged with everyone in and around it. At the same time, seeing that there was no hope and also due to being exhausted, I gave up the fight and let myself be carried away and being submerged as well. Wasn't sure what this could have meant. I am not having problems at work and I love my job so I am not sure what the reason for this dream would be. Not sure if it was subconcious anxieties or just a random bad dream.
