Do your sleep pattern changed with the seasons?

Does your body require more or less sleep during certain seasons?

I take Lithium, Lamictal, Topamax and Risperdal. I take them year ago. In the fall and winter my body requires 13-14 hours of sleep. In the spring and summer I'm good at 7-8 hours.

I mentioned this to my primary and she blamed it on my meds??? In the fall and winter I will feel exhausted with out that sleep. But in the spring and summer I'm ok. I talked to my pdoc about it he said not to take Ambien (PRN)??? I was not taking it. Basically sound like he had no clue. I have another appointment coming up. I'm going to talk with the nurse.
