Hey all,
So I've been diagnosed BPD for over a year now, I don't currently take any medication for that or my other disorders (dissociative disorder NOS,schizotypal PD, anxiety, etc.). I found out that I was 28 weeks pregnant on August 27th, after months of mental health crisis with seemingly no source. I am now 36 weeks pregnant and placing my baby boy with a supporting and loving gay family. I'm only 19 and I've known my boyfriend for as long as I've been pregnant.
This whole experience has eaten at me and triggered my bpd greatly. I was even dropped from an agency for disclosing my diagnosis, leaving me feeling inadequate to even do what is best for my child. My boyfriend and I are now working with a law firm and an adoptive family privately, but the big day is coming up and I get more and more nervous of how my mental health is going to be affected by this event.
I was wondering if there are any other borderlines out there who have given up a child or think they might have some insight into this process.
Hugs from:
